BIOGRAPHY
I grew up in Wisconsin, where I discovered photography during my undergraduate days. I moved east after graduation to further my education at Rochester Institute of Technology where I studied photographic illustration. After graduating, I moved farther east to New York, where I worked as a freelance assistant for Pete Turner, Anthony Edgeworth and others before settling in Boston, where I worked for photographers Clint Clemens and Jack Richmond. I then accepted an opportunity to run the corporate studio for Computervision Corporation in Boston, a job that allowed me to travel extensively, shooting advertising, brochure and annual report images. Wanting to get back to advertising illustration, I moved to Raleigh, NC and opened Salstrand Studio. Today I shoot images for a wide variety of ad agencies and clients.
